So Brent seems to think I won't be able to get all of the story paths done!
He couldn't be more wrong!
What I'm aiming to do is at least play on Hard Classic for each path. If, however, I find myself struggling though I'll just go Hard Casual/Phoenix just to get the plot down.
I'd do lunatic but I ain't got the patience for that right now, and normal/easy/whatever just wouldn't feel right.

I agree Fire Emblem is one if the few titles I go straight to hard difficulty on or it just feels wrong. I am also playing classic because Fire Emblem dawg.

Just found your guys podcast on Podbean and I am really enjoying it. Do you guys have a list of upcoming games you are going to be playing? I would like to play along the same time you guys are if it is possible. Any plays on playing Lunar Silver star?

Thanks for the kind words and we do have a list of games for the year but we haven't made it public yet in case plans need to change or what have you. That being said we are currently working on Fire Emblem Fates to cover our new release quota for the year and after that we will be playing Breath of Fire 1. I do plan on trying to put up threads a couple months out for each game and non review topic so people can participate a little more so keep an eye out here and of course well announce anything like that on the show.

I've played Eternal Blue and the remakes/re-releases of Lunar Silver Star but I'd like to play the original one day. Too bad complete editions cost an entire pay check lol. I'd never heard of Podbean before, I'll have to check it out. Anything else you listen to that you'd recommend? |

I listen to mostly baseball podcasts but I play RPGs in my free time and wanted something different to listen to on my drive to work so I just typed in RPG and your pod showed up. I have not really looked for others yet because I have a year to catch up with yours.
I am glad you guys did Suikoden I have the original that I bought from gamestop preownded for 10 bucks. I also have suikoden 2 but gamestop only had the disc when I bought it. But no one else I know has ever played it lol.
I still have my ps1 editions of Silver Star and Eternal Blue. I would like to play the sega cd version myself from what I have read it is a lot different in story. Like a soft reboot compared to the PS1.

I must of bought that in the late 90s though lol. I would like to play fire emblem fates but right now Im deep into Divinity and want to finish that first. I hate starting one RPG and not finishing it. But I am definitely looking forward to your guys review of fire emblem.

Yeah but I am not a fan of it. I tried playing with my gf but I hate not being in control since there are two main characters and if you do not agree on something during the storyline you have to do paper rock scissors to decide. I do like the game itself though it kind of reminds me of baulders gate.

The writer for it apparently wanted to hamfist SJW themes into the game, there is an NPC who is transgender and instead of treating the issue with respect they forced it and made it feel unnatural, they changed some of the preexisting characters' personalities, gave Minsc a shitty meme gamergate line, there are people having issues with the game running properly and bugs, multiplayer doesn't work right, and other stuff. |
