Ok, so the idea here is a game of would you rather, with the angle on the games.
Everyone can participate and answer each question, and in doing so, get their turn to make a new question. No matter if there are two questions after another from two different persons as long as you answer one before making it.
So that we might get all those who read and want to play to give the go ahead to pick from different questions if they want to.
I will go first then:
Would you rather that, Kanye West makes his own version and interpretation of your all time favorite rpg game music, or have Uwe Boll make your favorite game into a movie?

Hmmm hmm hmmm... I'm not really a fan of Kanye but at least he makes a GOOD product that people earnestly enjoy.
Uwe Boll just takes a steaming shit.
So I'd rather Kayne West than Uwe Boll.
Would you rather be the lowly hero of an RPG adventure that has to face the challenges leading up to saving the world or be the evil who gets to have all kinds of murderous fun but ultimately be defeated in the end before your plan comes to fruition?

I would have taken Uwe Boll, it might be shit, but atleast people will get a good laugh out of it since he is more of a comedian then anything else! Hehe Ouch! Hard one there... I usually go with the good guys in the all the games, so I will take the evil just to get some of my plans in order for total domknation of all moving beings. Seeing as the normal setup is a, I will go with b. And besides, you never know what is good or evil in different perspectivs. Would you rather make an RPG that sells incredibly well and people like it, but deep down you despise and loath it. Or, make an RPG Adventure of your dreams that you love and cherish, but people will think it is total shit, but for yourself, the game is all you need. Perspectiv!

Yea I guess I would rather let Kayne make shitty remakes than have Uwe Boll make a shitty movie. My reason for this is simple. If somebody makes a shitty cover of a song it doesn't stop people from covering a song. If Uwe Boll fucks a video game license then there won't be any more movies made. Simple as that.
Would you rather always roll crits or crit misses in a game of dungeons and dragons?

I give zero fucks about how many people like me. Would you rather be a super strong mighty warrior but incredibly dim witted? Or a mighty wizard that's incredibly smart but be confined to the top floor of a tower somewhere?

Yeah... Did not remeber about the license and video games.. Crap.
The thing about making a super selling video game was not that others would hate you. You would hate and despise the game and you would want it eradicated from the earth then hearing about it, almost.
Having no experience but a little since my very early youth, with a experienced player who used hero points all over the place, used two handed battleaxes for toothpicks and the like... I would have to go with crit misses. The reason for that being that I have some memories of it being able to be quite hillarious.
---
Would you rather be an bystander in the best RPG of all time, being able to do exactly shit and having absolutly no impact on the story, but to follow it from start to finish and see it all unfold. Or would you rather be the main protagonist inside a shitty game? (Not quite Digimon World or Monsterseed. But down towards that).

Oooh, hard one.... I will go with being the wizard. Arcane powerhouse for the win! Seeing as a there might be a young prince that will some day surely rescue me from my tower that is surely guarded by a fierce dragon! Lol Would you rather being a mediocre hero with friends in a RPG and have to work together, or being a total badass thru a whole RPG but no friends or anything of the sort?

I would rather make the game of my dreams that I could play for the rest of my life and everyone else hates it. ----- Would you rather always roll crits or crit misses in a game of dungeons and dragons?
Crits? How is this even a question lol ----- Would you rather be a super strong mighty warrior but incredibly dim witted? Or a mighty wizard that's incredibly smart but be confined to the top floor of a tower somewhere?
I guess I would rather have the freedom to do whatever I want, so the super strong mighty warrior who is dim witted. ----- Would you rather be an bystander in the best RPG of all time, being able to do exactly shit and having absolutly no impact on the story, but to follow it from start to finish and see it all unfold or would you rather be the main protagonist inside a shitty game?
I'd rather be a bystander loooool it's easier ----- Would you rather being a mediocre hero with friends in a RPG and have to work together, or being a total badass thru a whole RPG but no friends or anything of the sort?
Hmm if my friends are also mediocre and there is a chance we could all perma-death, then fuck that I'll be the total badass. ----- You are at the end of a dungeon run and in front of your treasure. You see two potions resting on weighted traps. One of the traps is harmless, the other will incinerate the room you are in. The left potion is a regal purple that gives off an ominous glow, while the right potion is bright blue with occasional flashes of lightning flickering throughout the liquid. Which do you choose and why?

I would take the treasure and go plast the traps! Haha
Oh well, I would drink the blue with the flashing lightning inside it, because simply, it looks way more badass, and if I am going to go, I am going in style! It might not be the noblest of ideas, but if it looks badass and I aint got a clue, go with the thing that looks more brutal!
You are at the end of your adventure, you know that the end is nigh and you only need to make it across a small bridge. As you take your first step on the bridge, there is an appiration before you. It gives you two choices.
Either you go back and by doing that, you save your childhood friend (wich of course is the opposite genier and the love of your life), but you will never be able to finish your adventure or know what would have happened on the other side. Otherwise continue to the other side and finish your adventure, but you friend and love of your life will be heartbroken and return and have a life in misery and sadness. You will never be able to turn back and give them comfort, this will haunt you for the rest of your life. As would not knowing what your adventures end would have been like.
What do you choose, and why?

Having a death on my conscious would be worse than not finishing a goal.
I could always do another adventure later.
Mead or beer?

Damn, missed the part that should have been there about no more adventuring haha.
Mead or beer... That is a damn evil question Nick!
But I would go with beer, have not tested enough mead to say...
But in a RPG, mead!
In a dungeon, you have no clue of the outlay. In a crossway, right, left or straight? And why so?

Hehehe I'd have to say right, just because I'm right handed and I always go right first because of the whole "keep your right hand to the wall in a maze and you'll eventually find the exit" thing. You really like a special person and you are out on your first date with them. Would you rather have to shit so bad that you stink up their bathroom for a week or vomit all over them?

Haha, I feel like we are drifting away from the adventure topic about this more and more!!
Seeing as you are out on a date with someone, leta go for a horrible shit and blame it on someone else, as you are not at their house then!
Would you rather have a boss that is damned hard to beat and have to really think about every move, or have a easier last boss but lots of harder bosses earlier in the game?

|
Post by Nick on May 11, 2016 8:58:35 GMT -5
I like a challenge, so the boss that is damned hard to beat.
Would you rather be told how to find the best equipment in the world, or have a puzzle that you figure out and be surprised when you find it?
|
|
|
Post by Menthion on May 11, 2016 10:32:14 GMT -5
A puzzle certainly, boring to just go and pick something up. The puzzle, riddles and general trying to figure stuff out is all why I am into rpgs, besides the usually great stories ofc.
Getting to choose one, would you take a blade that can kill almost everything in one stroke or a scabbard that keeps you safe from quite everything as long as you have it on your being?
|
|
|
Post by Nick on May 12, 2016 8:03:29 GMT -5
A scabbard that can keep me safe from everything, if I need to kill something it may take some time but I'll get it done.
Can't do that if I'm dead.
Which would serve you better: A gaudy necklace that attracts the attention of everyone, enemy and ally alike, or a cloak that keeps you hidden from all eyes?
|
|
|
Post by Menthion on May 12, 2016 12:47:23 GMT -5
I would most certainly use the cloak there, seeing as if I can keep myself hidden, my enemies should not be a problem to me. And allies, well, I steal the loots from my enemies and hire bodyguards!
If you had the choice of two rpgs, one is an old classic, as in the case of Nick, Suikoden 2 wich you know is great, or a newer game with say 80-100 hours playtime. You do not know anything about the game in itself, except there has been a huge hype on it. It might be bad, and it might be great, but you would either way, have to play the whole game and do everything.
Wich game would you pick?
